Privacy policy

Sidebasen is a catalogue of Danish websites. There are no accounts, no cookies, no ads and no tracking. The only information we handle is what you write in the site's three forms.

What information is processed?

  • Suggest a website: the site's address plus an optional name, category and comment.
  • Report a site: the address, the problem type and any details you add.
  • Contact us: your message and — only if you enter it yourself — your email address.

When you submit, your IP address is also processed technically by our form provider as part of spam filtering.

Purpose and legal basis

The information is used solely to maintain the catalogue and reply to your enquiry. The legal basis is legitimate interest (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)); we only process your email address because you provide it to receive a reply.

Data processor

Submissions are received and stored by Formcarry, which processes them on our behalf as a data processor. Data is stored on servers in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany, on AWS), and a data processing agreement is in place as part of Formcarry's terms.

Formcarry is a US company that may access data from the US for support and operations. This access is governed by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC).

Retention

Submissions are deleted once handled — when a suggestion has been added or declined, a report resolved, or a message answered.

Local storage in your browser

Your favourites, theme and language choices are stored only in your own browser (localStorage) and are never sent to us or anyone else.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of or deletion of your information, and object to the processing — write via the contact form. You may also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet (datatilsynet.dk).

Sidebasen (sidebasen.dk) is the data controller. Contact is via the contact form.
